About Amanda Jo Essaili

Ms. Essaili graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2011. While attending law school, she was the recipient of the 2011 Professional Responsibility Award, was the 2011 Commencement Speaker, and was named on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Further, she was the recipient of the Chesapeake Energy Scholar award in 2009-2010, the Ungerman Scholarship, and the Royce H. Savage Scholarship. Ms. Essaili was a research assistant for Professor Katheleen Guzman during the Spring of 2011.

Ms. Essaili served as the Third Year Class President and Second Year Class Treasurer. She was also actively involved in the Student Bar Association (SBA), SBA Board of Governors, the Organization for the Advancement of Women in the Law (OAWL), and Phi Delta Phi Honors Legal Fraternity. Additionally, Ms. Essaili studied abroad in the United Kingdom through the University of Oklahoma College of Law Oxford Program during the Summer of 2009.

Ms. Essaili was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2008 with a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Accounting. While attending OU for her undergraduate degree, Ms. Essaili was not only an active member of her sorority, Pi Beta Phi, but on numerous Campus Activities Councils (CAC), taking on many leadership positions throughout her tenure at OU. Additionally, she was in the President’s Leadership Class (PLC), and was selected as a Burr Scholar and Mentor for the new PLC class. Further, Ms. Essaili was in the JC Penney Leadership Program, named on the Dean’s and President’s Honor Rolls, the recipient of multiple scholarships, and a member of numerous honor societies during her four years at OU.

Since graduation, Ms. Essaili has been admitted to the Oklahoma Bar. Ms. Essaili was the recipient of Oklahoma’s 30 under 30 Next Gen Award in 2014 and was a member of LOYAL Class IX Program from 2013-2014. Additionally, she is a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City and remains active in the community, volunteering frequently for various non-profit organizations.
