About J. John Hager

Mr. Hager is a licensed attorney with over thirty years of experience in the legal profession. Mr. Hager obtained his Bachelor Business of Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from Abilene Christian University in 1981. He obtained his Juris Doctorate with Honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1984, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Oklahoma Law Review. Mr. Hager joined Durbin, Larimore & Bialick, P.C. upon graduation from the Oklahoma College of Law, where he practiced for over twenty years, during which time he became a director of the firm. Subsequently, Mr. Hager practiced law as a solo practitioner in Edmond, Oklahoma, for nine years until he joined Elias, Books, Brown & Nelson, P.C.

Mr. Hager is licensed to appear before all state and federal courts in Oklahoma as well as the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association including its Real Property section, and the Oklahoma County Bar Association.

Mr. Hager has presented lectures regarding easements and other servitudes in the commercial context, lessor liens in the commercial context, and commercial evictions.

Mr. Hager joined Elias, Books, Brown & Nelson in 2014. He has expertise in providing legal services including: all aspects of commercial, financial, and tort litigation both at the trial level and on appeal; contract preparation and review, commercial transactions, loan transactions, real estate, banking, bankruptcy proceedings, business formation, probate proceedings and estate planning.
